Using polyphonic performance, lyrical structures and rhythmic sound textures, poet Dagmara Kraus and text-/sound artist Marc Matter collaboratively composed an acoustic puzzle that combines (the authors’) vocal sounds and text. Sequences of phonemes and voices are manipulated and dissolved in such a way that their origins can merely be suspected: a flow of patterns and rhythms, varied repetitions, dissociations and permutations creating a dark sound poem – three stanzas comprised of an ‘original stanza’ and two ‘mutates’, where the original material is exclusively derived from language and voice.
